Tragedy struck in Bulloch County on Friday evening as a single vehicle crash claimed the life of one man. The incident occurred a little before 8:00 PM on September 6, 2024, near the intersection of Stilson-Leefield Road and Bryant Still Road.
Bulloch County 911 received the distressing vehicle crash alert and swiftly dispatched Bulloch County Sheriffs Deputies, GSP Troopers, Bulloch County EMS, and Bulloch County Fire and Rescue to the scene of the accident.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a Ford F-250 pickup truck lay on its side with a lone male occupant trapped inside. Tragically, Bulloch County EMS Paramedics confirmed the occupant's passing, prompting the summoning of Bulloch County Deputy Coroner Craig Tremble.
Preliminary investigations by GSP Troopers revealed that the F-250 was traveling north on Stilson-Leefield Road when the driver veered off the road to the right, colliding with a power pole before overturning.
The identity of the deceased individual is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. GSP Trooper Jacob Stansell and GSP Trooper Tyler Pettee are investigating the crash.
