The East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) is inviting the community to their annual heart health awareness event, Hearts, Hats, and Heels: Heart Healthy Lunch and Learn, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm in the EGRMC Education Room.
This free event will feature Dr. Sreevalli Dega, owner of Statesboro Urgent Care and The DRIPBaR, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Dega will discuss the importance of heart health, prevention strategies, and lifestyle changes to reduce the risk of heart disease. With cardiovascular disease being a leading cause of death among women, this educational session aims to empower attendees with knowledge and practical steps to maintain a healthy heart.
Participants are encouraged to wear red attire, hats, or heels in recognition of American Heart Month and to show support for heart health awareness. A complimentary heart-healthy lunch will be provided to all registered guests.
While the event is free, seating is limited, and advance registration is required. Those interested can secure their spot by signing up through the following link: Event Registration or by calling 912-486-1575.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a local health expert and take steps toward a heart-healthy lifestyle. For more information, visit EGRMC’s website or follow their social media pages for updates.
Event attendees are asked to park on the back or sides of the hospital off of Bermuda Run Road and enter through the cafeteria courtyard or Emergency Room entrance.
East Georgia Regional Medical Center is located at 1499 Fair Road Statesboro, GA 30458.
