Carlos Gomez, U15, and Nathan Waters, U14, were selected to participate in the U.S. Soccer Talent ID Centers (IDCs) on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground hosted by the U.S. Soccer Federation.
A U.S. Soccer Talent IDC is a free single-day player identification opportunity for top talents to train and play games under the direction of U.S. Soccer Talent Identification Managers. The IDCs are designed to replicate a Youth National Team camp and play a key role in the Talent Identification Plan.
The IDC being attended by Gomez and Waters is designed to identify and evaluate top talents for the Youth National Teams. The session is closed to both parents and spectators as U.S. Soccer’s objective is to create an environment free from any distractions, allowing players to take full responsibility of their personal development.
