Mitchell Waters of Brooklet has successfully completed four years of challenging academic, physical, and professional military training, graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and a commission as a US Marine Corps 2nd Lieutenant. He is a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. At the academy, Waters was a member of the Sprint Football Team.
Waters, 22, is the son of Michael and Shannon Waters of Brooklet, brother of Samantha Waters, and grandson of Raymond and June Waters of Brooklet and John and Linda Wyatt of Tiger, GA. He graduated from SEB in 2020. Waters will officially graduate from the Naval Academy on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

Following his graduation, Waters will move on to his US Marine training at The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia. Following his training at The Basic School, he plans to attend flight school in Pensacola, Florida.
