Bethany residents cozy up for their annual Winter Wonderland Party

Residents and guests of The Lodge at Bethany celebrated the joy and nostalgia of the season during their annual Winter Wonderland Party on January 17. With cozy winter attire, festive décor, and activities like indoor marshmallow snowball fights, snowflake crafts, and a decadent hot chocolate bar, the event created a heartwarming winter escape for everyone.

Hear the sleigh bells ringing? See the snow glistening? The residents of the Lodge at Bethany have been 'walking in a Winter Wonderland!'

The residents were ready for fun, festivities, and frosty vibes at their annual Winter Wonderland Party earlier this month. They were dressed in their finest winter attire, including cozy scarves, warm hats, snug gloves, cozy sweaters and jackets, while enjoying the soft melodies of winter music. 

They gathered to reminisce about the magic of winters past. It was an event full of warmth and nostalgia!

Friday, January 17, 2025, brought a winter's day in Statesboro, with a chilly wind and outside temperatures, but the residents were prepared to enjoy themselves. inside ‘The (temperature-controlled!) Lodge.’ It was perfectly adorned to capture the splendors of the season, surrounded by elegant décor and the timeless beauties of a winter wonderland.

Family and friends were invited to join the festivities, with lots of fun activities planned, which included indoor snowball fights (with marshmallows), themed activity sheets, cut out snowflakes, and making edible snowflakes with pretzels and mini marshmallows.

An amazing hot chocolate bar, offering rich hot cocoa, drizzles of caramel, extra creamy whipped topping, and a mountain of mini marshmallows paired with delightful winter treats, added a special touch to this day of laughter and togetherness.

Jerri Mathis, Director of Engagement for The Lodge at Bethany, shared, “Winter, when everything seems to sleep, is a time of renewal and reflection. This annual celebration gets us excited about the upcoming days and events at ‘The Lodge’.
