It's been through the labor of many hardworking hands and loving hearts that Statesboro has been fortunate to see an influx of diverse businesses and community members settling in, revitalizing the city, and giving us more opportunities to connect with one another over good food, drinks, and music.
Samere Adams says her family's restaurant, Antoinette Café and Kitchen at 193 West Main St., offers not just great food, but also those spiritual, mental, and emotional comforts, and aspires to give back to the community.
With roots in soulful cooking and a heart for service, Antoinette Café and Kitchen is dedicated to making every visit memorable.
The Café will be holding its grand opening celebration throughout the day on September 6, 2024, showcasing their chicken dinners, fried fish combos, and a variety of rich southern side dishes. They are inviting you, your friends, and family to come enjoy live music on the evening of the opening, to share good conversation and fun over the signature beverage and food selections.
Since opening on August 4, 2024, the ladies behind Antoinette Café and Kitchen have seen an outpouring of support from the community. Their guests have embraced their commitment to providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere and delicious food.
As they continue their soft opening throughout the month, the family wants to invite more members of the community to join them and experience what the Café has to offer.
To better serve their patrons, Antoinette Café and Kitchen now opens its doors early with breakfast service from 6:00am to 10:00am. Antoinette Café and Kitchen is more than just a restaurant; it’s a family legacy. Owned and operated by two sisters and their mother, the café was born from a desire to give back to the community by creating a space in a community well-loved by the family.
Adams remembers spending time at her great grandmother’s Bulloch County home as a child, a contrast to the city life she lived otherwise in New Jersey. Later encouraged by her mother, Antoinette, Adams moved onto the family's property in Statesboro.
“We’re city girls with a taste of country because we’ve been here since we were kids,” said Adams.
Inspired by the brunch restaurants she had grown accustomed to living in the city, Adams wanted to bring that atmosphere to Statesboro by creating a spot where locals could hold small celebrations for milestones and friendship; a place where you can enjoy mimosas with the girls and classic southern meals with your family.
It's a place that anyone can enjoy, Adams reiterated, sharing a laugh over fresh squeezed frozen juices and sweet glazed cornbread.
