The Abbie DeLoach Foundation (ADF) is pleased to announce that Maria Chrysikos DeLoach has joined the foundation as administrator. Maria brings 35 years of insurance industry and regulatory experience as an audit professional to her new role, where she will bolster ADF’s core values and growth. The foundation focuses on making a positive difference by providing scholarships to nursing students and student athletes and serving others through world missions.
“Maria is a passionate professional who has a strong work ethic, and she will elevate the good works of ADF in the communities we serve,” said Jimmy DeLoach Jr., president of the Abbie DeLoach Foundation and Abbie’s father. “In addition, Maria, my wife of three years, has a strong business background that makes her an ideal fit for this role.”
Throughout her career, Maria often served in an audit capacity. Notably, she participated in collaborative multistate risk-focused surveillance examinations that included planning, risk and fraud assessments, as well as the development of risk-mitigation strategies pursuant to state laws and regulations. In one role, Maria reengineered company operations of a non-performing insurer to comply with regulatory standards and identify potentially fraudulent activity. For another role, a court-appointed receivership, Maria was instrumental in recreating a bankrupt insurer’s book of business.
“I am grateful that the foundation will gain Maria’s incredible skill set, and for her presence on its leadership team,” said Anna DeLoach DeLany, vice president of the Abbie DeLoach Foundation and Abbie’s sister. “I am confident that the foundation will benefit from Maria’s focus, expertise and energy.”
Maria is a University of California, Los Angeles alumna who earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. She holds credentials as a Certified Financial Examiner, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and has an Associate Risk Management designation.
