The traditional 5K followed at 8:30, inviting runners and walkers of all ages to show their True Blue pride as they navigated the beautiful campus grounds. This year, 17 student organizations and two community organizations participated, showcasing a wide array of campus life, including members from fraternities, sororities, and local gyms.

The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback. “This year's race was the best it has been in recent years,” Race Director Jonathan Rivera noted. “From our quality customer service to the improved course route, participants praised the overall race experience.”

In the spirit of resilience, this year's event also aimed to uplift the community following Hurricane Helene.

“It’s great to be back on campus after the events of the storm,” Rivera added. “We wanted this year's race to be a moment of light, joy, and celebration, and we truly achieved that on Saturday!”

With 44 participants forming 22 teams in the Adventure Race segment, the event successfully fostered a sense of camaraderie among participants. Looking ahead, organizers hope to increase participation to 500 next year and encourage everyone to support the Abbie DeLoach Foundation in their mission to inspire and uplift.

"We're so grateful for our participants and their loved ones, and community partners and sponsors for their support with this year's race," shared Rivera, "We invite everyone to participate in next year's race as we're aiming to hit 500 participants. In addition, we encourage everyone to visit and support the Abbie DeLoach Foundation in their mission to live inspired."
