Saturday, October 9th at 6:46 pm Bulloch 911 dispatched emergency services to a plane crash on Mill Creek road.
The Cessna 172 appeared to have overshot the runway and stopped on the edge of Mill Creek road, an access road outside the Statesboro-Bulloch Airport fence line.

When the plane came to a stop, the nose wheel of the plane was on Mill Creek Road, the rest of the plane was in the ditch beside the road.
There was a small fuel leak that Statesboro Fire Department contained. Both the pilot and passenger were not injured and denied treatment or transport by Bulloch EMS.

According to Kathy Boykin, manager of the Statesboro-Bulloch airport Bulloch County Sheriff's department and the NTSB are handling the investigation as to why the plan crashed.
Boykin confirmed that the plane was registered to a Savannah owner.
Bulloch County EMS, Statesboro and Bulloch Fire along with Bulloch Sheriff's department responded to the scene.
