The Bulloch County board of education has given tentative approval to a $176.1 million combined-funds budget at a working session held on May 11.
The 2024 fiscal year budget was proposed by superintendent of schools Charles Wilson. Board members voted 7-0 to move the budget process forward.
The budget includes five funds:
- General
- Special revenue
- School nutrition
- Capital projects
- Debt service
The general fund, the district's main operating portion of the overall budget, includes $140.2 million in budgeted expenditures. Below is a breakdown of the proposed 2024 fiscal year budget:
A final vote on the 2024 Fiscal Year Budget is scheduled for June 8. If approved, the budget will go into effect on July 1, the start of the school district's fiscal year. For more information, click here.
