Mission & Services: To teach, and train youth & young adults ages 13 - 24 from low income families AND rural underserved communities the essential skills, personal qualities, and values that will enable them to thrive in the workforce and society, to provide educational and career path guidance, to provide a link between education, the entrepreneurial spirit and the business ownership mindset as a career path, helping youth to achieve responsible independence and upward socioeconomic mobility.
Description: The Career Camp’s philosophy centers around building well-rounded young adults. They not only gain practical skills in household tasks, financial literacy, graphic design, drone operation, interview techniques, and resume preparation, but also develop the confidence to utilize new surface skills effectively. This is more than a program, as we develop long-term support system for the youth through caring community members who act as mentors and guides.
Fees:
Fees vary from program to program however,
the expenses for YCCI Summer Programs typically include 2 weeks lodging, meals,
transportation, training materials, access to technology resources, and field trips.
Financial sponsorships are available on a limited bases, and can reduce the cost of
attendance by over 90%. Entire program cost varies each year, and is estimated at
$1,800 per person. There is usually a $175 nonrefundable registration fee.
Depending on sponsorships, eligible participants may be able to attend free of charge.
