The Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center The Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center, located in the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center, is a 34,000 square foot facility that houses an 830-seat theatre.
The Performing Art Center’s mission is to support and enhance the educational programming of the university’s entertainment and performance industry programs, including the Georgia Southern Theatre, the Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music, and the Department of Communication Arts, by facilitating a safe and instructive environment for future visionaries within the entertainment industry.
In addition to supporting Georgia Southern University’s own educational programming, the Performing Arts Center annually presents a School Matinee Series for students of all ages in the greater Bulloch County area with the goal of enriching local and regional school curriculums while fostering the True Blue spirit within the hearts of future Eagles.
Apart from community education support and outreach, the Performing Arts Center is also available to facilitate other departmental programming within the university as well as programming for external organization rentals that align with the mission of Georgia Southern University.
