Royal Family KIDS Camp completes Fostering Bulloch's summer of life-changing camps

Fostering Bulloch’s 7th Mile Farm recently hosted its "Camp7" and Royal Family KIDS (RFK) Camp for children in the Foster Care System. Royal Family Kids Camp provided an unforgettable experience where children discovered their worth and found hope through a Bible-based curriculum. Grice Connect followed up on each Camp7 and RFK experience with a recap and shared sentiments from its camp staff.

Fostering Bulloch’s 7th Mile Farm recently hosted its "Camp7" and Royal Family KIDS (RFK) Camp for children in the Foster Care System. The summer camps served foster care children from residential homes, centers, and organizations from across the state of Georgia.

The volunteers from the three different camps spent 4 days with foster youth, sharing the love of Jesus and making lifelong memories along the way.

Royal Family KIDS Camps are different than a standard summer camp, as they include:

  • Trauma-Informed Training
  • Camp Family Model
  • Two Adults Always Present
  • Comprehensive Safety Protocols
  • Bible-Based Curriculum & Program Activities

Camp7 for Boys was held from 6/30-7/3, Camp7 for Girls was held from 7/7-7/10, and Royal Family KIDS Camp was held from 7/14-7/17.

Some of the activities the camp-goers (alongside the volunteers, known as "cousins") participated in together were kayaking, fishing, rock climbing, paintball competitions, and so much more.

There was no cost to the foster parents or volunteers to attend the camp. Furthermore, all money donated to each camp went towards meals, camper gear, clothing, Bibles, and other needs.

Fostering Bulloch’s Founder, Chris Yaughn, shared his thoughts in the 7th Mile Farm Camp Preview article.

Yaughn stated that “our heartbeat here at Fostering Bulloch is our three summer camps for our Foster Care Children."

Each camp has gone successfully and has been a life-changing experience for all children, volunteers, and participating organizations involved.
