SAULT STE. MARIE - The City's largest nursing home is seeking committed, experienced and caring Board members who are passionate about ensuring quality long-term care to the 374 residents of the F. J. Davey Home and supporting the Home's 390 staff.
Currently, the Board of Directors are seeking additional individuals with a emphasis on experience with continuous quality improvement, risk management and Finance.
Previous experience with public sector and governance boards is an asset.
All candidates will be considered by the selection committee.
The F. J. Davey Home is a not-for-profit corporation, managed through a service contract by the Home's operational partner Extendicare Assist.
The Board meets ten times a year; monthly between September and June each year and there are occasional meetings required at the call of the Chair. Monthly commitment to prepare for and attend meetings is approximately 4 to 6 hours per month. Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 4 p.m.
