Foothills County encompasses a diverse rural landscape
covering approximately 3,600 square kilometers located
in the foothills of southern Alberta.

We are currently accepting applications for a
permanent, full-time Senior Community Peace Officer
position. Reporting to the Manager of Enforcement
Services, the Senior Community Peace Officer will be
primarily responsible for enforcing municipal bylaws
and designated provincial statutes. Approximately
85% of the role will focus on enforcement duties, with
the remaining 15% dedicated to providing leadership
and supervision

We are seeking a motivated, forward-thinking person
who is ready to develop and adapt alongside the team
and our rapidly growing community.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in
law enforcement; in lieu of this, extensive law
enforcement experience with supervisory experience
and a grade 12 diploma may be considered.

• Must hold, or be eligible for, a Community Peace
Officer Level 1 Appointment from Alberta Justice
and Solicitor General.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Level One
Community Peace Officer or Police Officer in
front-line enforcement.

• Full Class 5 Operators License (no GDL) with no more
than allowable demerits.

• Must have or be able to pass an RCMP Enhanced
Reliability Security Clearance.
