Soo Mill Lumber Company Limited
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Entry and IT Assistant. This dynamic role is ideal for a new graduate or entrant into the workforce who is enthusiastic about gaining hands-on experience in digital data management and IT technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Data Entry: Accurately input various data into our database systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correctly cataloged.
• Photo Updates: Regularly update and manage the photo content for our products on our website, ensuring that all images are current, high-quality, and relevant to the associated content.
• Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory data, updating information as necessary to reflect current stock levels and product details.
• Website Content Updates: Revise and refresh website descriptions, ensuring that all text is accurate, engaging, and effectively represents our products or services.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the marketing and IT departments to ensure that all website updates align with our branding and technical requirements. Regularly report on progress and any issues encountered.

Qualifications:
• Recently completed Diploma or Degree in a post-secondary institution, preferably in a field related to IT, marketing, and/or business.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity Windows 10/11 & Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel).
• Basic knowledge of website management and content creation.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be eligible to meet all candidate criteria required by NOHFC including the following:
• Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field.
• Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate.
• Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
• Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Once hired, the candidate must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.
