We want to take a moment to give a special GRICE GOOD shoutout to the daughter of one of our GC team members. She didn't ask to be featured, and in fact, she has no idea we are doing this. But we hope that her selfless generosity will inspire you this holiday season the way it did the rest of our team!
Lily is the 18-year-old daughter of our Sponsor/Ad Team Lead Fred David and his wife Sheila. She recently learned about Georgia Southern's Holiday Helper Tree, and she quickly jumped into action.
With her wages she earns at Ken's IGA in Brooklet, Lily chose TEN tags from the Holiday Helper Tree and started shopping! She put a lot of thought into each of her ten gifts, carefully selecting items for each of her recipients and packaging them in cheerfully themed reusable bags. We're so proud of your generosity, Lily!
Will you join Lily and the rest of our team in helping to make hundreds of holiday wishes come true this year? You can PULL YOUR TAG(S) HERE!
This is the 31st year for the Holiday Helper Tree, marking over three decades of fulfilling holiday wishes for vulnerable populations in Bulloch and Chatham counties.
Since its inception in 1994, the program has offered students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members an opportunity to give back to those in need, providing essentials and special gifts during the holiday season.
Each year, approximately 800 individuals from over 20 community organizations benefit from the support provided by the Holiday Helper Tree. Thank you for your support of this special program!
