On Tuesday, October 17, First Baptist Church Statesboro prepared a delicious lunch for Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair workers, who joined together in the Pancake House at the fairgrounds for the meal.

The food was purchased by the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro and prepared by First Baptist. Parishioners of First Baptist Church shared a few words of gratitude and blessed the food before starting the lunch line.

"The church enjoys supporting the Kiwanis Club and the work that they do," said Landon Lanier, Kiwanis Fair Committee Member and member of First Baptist. "Many of these workers come from hard walks of life, but this is something special that we do to show them our love and appreciation for their hard work."

The workers thoroughly enjoyed the hearty lunch.

"We have our grills fired up, cooking up a feast of steak, potatoes, and other delicious food," added Trish Tootle, Kiwanis Fair Committee Chair. "We want these workers to see what a great community that Statesboro-Bulloch County is, and we want them to feel the love that the Kiwanis Club, First Baptist Church, and God has for them."
