Kimberly Arendes Gay, 41, passed away on November 11, 2022 in her home after a tough battle with cancer. Kim grew up in Richmond Hill, GA as a child and built her family in Statesboro, Ga.
She was an active member of Emit Grove Baptist church and enjoyed volunteering anytime she could. Kim was a graduate of Brookline College with an Associates of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her entire family, also spending her weekends at the ballfields as a softball mom. Three words to describe Kim best would be loyal, free spirited and determined. She was a beautiful person in the lives around her.
Kim is survived by her husband Tommy Gay Jr., Statesboro, Ga. Her children Chloe Piet (Bryan), John Aaron Gay, Angel Gay & Emily Grace Gay and her Grandchildren, Silas & Judson Piet. Her parents; Ellen Walker (Aaron) of Ellabell, GA, Brian Arendes Sr. of Fort Pierce, Fl. Her siblings; Brian Arendes (Kerri) of Statesboro, GA, Jessica Drew (Aaron) of Ellabell, GA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & three step sisters and a step brother.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday, November 15th at Deal’s Funeral Directors.
Funeral services for Kimberly Gay will be on Wednesday, November 16th at 11am at Emit Grove Baptist Church with a burial service following.
