SPD traffic stop leads to drug trafficking arrest

On Friday, July 22, 2022at 3:20 p.m. K-9 officers with Statesboro Police Department's (SPD) Impact Team stopped a vehicle on Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Statesboro for a traffic violation.

The officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle and did so. The search resulted in the recovery of a trafficking weight of MDMA along with quantities of cocaine and marijuana along with a firearm.

The driver of the vehicle, James Kelsey Rock (51, Skye View Drive, Statesboro), was arrested and charged with Trafficking in MDMA, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor).

He remains at the Bulloch County Jail pending further judicial action.
