Approved: Yearly contract for the radio system service and support from Motorola in the amount of $174,033.23. It is budgeted in the radio system budget. 

Approved: Contract with Leading Change for after-school training for staff.

  • Bulloch County Recreation and Parks AfterSchool Program received a $250,000 BOOST grant in February to provide more STEM-incorporated activities and curriculum to the kids in the program.

Approved: Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) policy requirements for criminal justice information/criminal history information.

  • The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s GCIC requires that all non criminal justice agency apply organizational procedures to protect the criminal history information and guidelines for man-made and natural disasters and to ensure established guidelines for disciplinary actions in regards to misuse or violations concerning the Georgia criminal justice network, materials, records and information.

Approved: The appointment of Nikita Robinson and Amanda Clements and reappointment of Ressie Fuller to the Library Board of Trustees for three-year terms ending summer 2025.

Approved: Enter one-year contract with Solid Waste Collection Grounds Maintenance at bi-weekly rate of $1,575 and an annual cost of $40,950 for grounds maintenance at the solid waste collection centers.

New business

Approved: Resolution imposing a 1% transportation special purpose local option sales and use tax (TSPLOST) for a period of time not to exceed 5 years and for the raising of not more than $72,000,000, subject to referendum approval.

Approved: Ellis Wood Contracting’s proposal of $43,250 for installing reinforcing geogrid material under the proposed parking lot for the Fletcher Park Site Improvement Project funded by TSPLOST.

Approved: Enter price negotiation with Lavender and Associates for construction management of the North Main Annex renovations
