Maggie Hendrix

Mrs. Maggie L. Holmes Hendrix, age 89, passed into rest, Tuesday July 26, 2022, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

The Bulloch County native was the daughter of the late Ester and Pearl Fletcher Holmes.

She received her formal education in the Bulloch County School System and was a graduate of the William James High School class of 1954. She furthered her education by attending Savannah State College and then Swainsboro Technical College where she received a degree in nursing. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Mrs. Hendrix was a faithful member of the Little Bethel Baptist Church, a member of the Phoebe Floyd Temple #1002 and a member of the Flamingo Club.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford Smith, siblings, Robert Holmes and Elizabeth Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Charles E. Hendrix, Statesboro, GA, children, Gina T. Martin (Andre Sabb) Charles Deon Hendrix (Joan) and Kristie Sabrina Hendrix (Austin) all of Statesboro, GA, four grandchildren, Rodravious Martin, Jordan (Hana) Hendrix, Davisha Hendrix and Sheldon Hendrix; 3 great grandchildren, five sisters, Bessie Morris, Savannah, GA, Janie Ruth Smith (James), Brooklet, GA, Mary Martin, Willie Pearl Clark (Jackie), Statesboro, GA and Joyce Shaeed, Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A walk-through viewing for Mrs. Hendrix will be held, Friday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.

The funeral service for Mrs. Maggie L. Hendrix, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday 30, 2022, at the Ben Samuel Hill Mortuary with Bishop Larry Jones, officiating. Burial will follow in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we ask that you follow all safety protocols.
