Mr. Latrell Youmans passed away on June 30, 2022, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia following a brief illness. Mr. Youmans was born in Blackshear, Georgia on August 6, 1931, to Elmer and Janie Dryden Youmans. In 1951, Latrell married the love of his life, Lila Freimuth, and they lived together happily for more than 71 years.

Those that knew Mr. Youmans, considered him a great man, always kind, giving and forever putting others before himself. He was a hard worker who established two companies, “Youmans Roofing Company” and “Youmans Trailer Sales” and maintained those companies for years in order to support his family.  But he also found time to have a little fun. One of his favorite pastimes was racing cars.

Mr. Youmans was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Janie Youmans; his children, Edward Ray Youmans and Dawn Michelle Youmans; his brothers, Willie and Hardy Youmans; and his sisters, Lois Kirkland and Betty Jean Youmans.

He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife, Lila; his granddaughter, Taylor Elizabeth Walker; his great grandchildren, Rowan Dwain Walker and Payton Elizabeth Walker; along with several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Nevils United Methodist Church in Nevils, Georgia with Pastor William Black officiating.
