Mrs. Sarah Gardner, age 83, passed into rest, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Azalea Health and Rehabilitation Center, Metter, Georgia.
She was born in Ridgeland, South Carolina to the late Eddie Hampton and the late Rebecca Reed.
Mrs. Gardener resided in New Jersey many years before moving to the Statesboro area. In 2011 she moved back to the Woodbury New Jersey area then, eventually moving back to Statesboro in 2019.
She was a member of the Walk by Faith Baptist Church where she served as a treasurer. She participated in many church activities and loved to travel.
She is survived by her son, Henry Gregory Reid (Dineen), Statesboro, GA; two grandchildren, Lequan Green and Jaleen Connerly; one great grandchild, Zahara Connerly; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service, will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
