STATESSBORO, GA: Calvin Byrd age 70, made his transition to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Bulloch County where he attended the public school. He was a self-employed mechanic and last employed by Franklin Chevrolet.
He is survived by, three daughters, Kim Casey Johnson, Alecia Griffin and Calvina Cooper (Jarquez) all of Statesboro, three sisters, Eddie B. McCollugh (Windslow), Sylvania, Della Moye (Percell), Pooler, GA and Chrystlyn Brooks, Statesboro; four brothers. David Byrd (Mattie) , and Connell Byrd both of Statesboro, Eddie Byrd (Linda), Metter. GA, and Lavon Byrd, Beaufort, SC; two uncles, Nathaniel Lundy (Betty )and Sewanie Mincey, South Bend, IN; one aunt, Ida Wigfall, South, IN; his significant other, Gloria Parrish, Statesboro; his grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Byrd are incomplete and will be announced later.
