Hardee's in Statesboro and Claxton has closed. The franchisee owns both locations and closed the Claxton location in April and Statesboro on May 16, 2022.

The Statesboro Hardee's is located at 612 Northside Drive East. They have removed the signage from the buildings and posted a note on the door of the restaurant stating that the restaurant is closed permanently.

The note reads:

Hardee's

"We regret to inform you that we have closed this Hardee's location permanently. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will visit one of our nearby locations in Swainsboro or Savannah. Thank you for your support and continued patronage."

A representative of the company told Grice Connect that the lease was up for the Statesboro location and with the difficulties in staffing, labor and food cost they decided to not renew the lease. They understand the owner of the building plans to sell the property.

For over 60 years, Hardee's has brought communities together with quality, delicious food. With more than 1,800 restaurants across the U.S., and locations in 14 countries, we are committed to the best tasting food to better serve our guests--From Made From Scratch™ Biscuits and Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders™.

Fazoli's Statesboro Closed

Hardee's is the second restaurant to close in the last few weeks. Fazoli's, located at 244 Henry Boulevard, closed in late April and has not reopened.

The restaurant posted a sign on the door saying they would be closed for the Easter holiday and would reopen the following week. They never reopened the restaurant. The website states it is temporarily closed.
