Georgia Living Management and Georgia Living at Home announce leadership changes

Georgia Living Management and Georgia Living at home has announced some promotions and changes in their operations.

Chandler Dennard joined Georgia Living Management, Inc. in 2017 as the Executive Director of Willow Pond Senior Care before moving to his current role of Operations Director at the GLM Corporate Office. In his role, Chandler is responsible for community operations, marketing strategies, budget approval and financial review, as well as leadership training development. Dennard endorsed Wells as his replacement and proceeding a trial placement, Erica Sellers Wells was promoted to the role of Executive Director in March 2022 after being the Business Office Director since September 2020.

Willow Pond Senior Care was built in 1997 and is one of ten senior living communities owned by Georgia Living Management, Inc. (GLM), based in Statesboro, Georgia. The facility has 30 personal care suites and 11 memory care suites with over 35 dedicated and trained staff, most being Certified Nursing Assistants or Certified Medical Assistants, including roles of Business Office Director- Mason Torres, Wellness Director- Lisa Conley, Maintenance Director- Frankie Phillips, Culinary Director – Elliott Manior, Life Enrichment Director – Ally Johnson, and Clinical Care Coordinator – Shae McKine, and taking the place of outgoing Executive Director, Chandler Dennard, is Erica Sellers Wells.

Abide Home Care

James Wiggins, the former local administrator, has accepted a promotion to Corporate District Director of Operations. Karen O’Neal has joined Abide Home Care as the new Regional Administrator for the East Georgia Region. O’Neal began a career in healthcare as a nurse, and then after earning an Accounting Degree from Georgia Southern University she was named CEO and CFO of several different hospitals throughout the nation. Karen has an extensive resume as a skilled executive in the Healthcare Industry with the ability to adapt to constant changes. Karen offers expertise in strategic planning, improving operations, budgeting, financial analysis, Managed-Care contract negotiations, and meeting financial objectives. She has a history of streamlining operations and is a well rounded leader that can help continue to add skill sets to the team.

  • 8 regional offices, including the East Georgia Region based in Statesboro.
  • Rebranding to Abide Home Care from Georgia Living Senior Home Care.
  • Per Holtze promoted to CEO from COO in February of 2022.
  • Reagan Daly hired as Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing in October of 2021.
  • James Wiggins promoted from Regional Administrator of the East Georgia Region to corporate District Director of Operations in October of 2021.
  • Karen O’Neal was hired as new Regional Administrator of the East Georgia Region beginning April of 2022.

She was Marketing and Sales Director of Statesboro Magazine for over 15 years and involved in many philanthropic organizations and causes such as Kiwanis, Professional Women of Statesboro, Lynda Brannen Williamson Foundation and Leadership Academy, Dancing with the Statesboro Stars, Georgia and Statesboro Jaycees, Leadership Bulloch and Alumni Board, Georgia Southern Univ. Parker College of Business Young Alumni Board, multiple Chamber of Commerce committees, and participant of the Region 12 Georgia Academy for Economic Development.

Erica is a 2012 and 2004 graduate of Georgia Southern University, receiving her MBA and BBA in Business Administration. She and her husband, Matthew Wells, have been married for almost two years and reside in Statesboro, GA. Wells is “enjoying being part of such a special place as Willow Pond and the responsibility of ensuring the quality of care in which it’s known continues.”

Georgia Living Management, Inc. is excited about rebranding the company’s In-Home Care division, previously known as Georgia Living Senior Home Care to Abide Home Care. Abide Home Care focuses on neighbors taking care of neighbors and bringing heartfelt, hometown care to life.

Karen has received The Chamber of Commerce (Tattnall County) Service Industry of the Year Award, Community Involvement Award, HomeTown Health Tipping Point Award. She also served on Congressman’s Healthcare Policy Advisory Committee. Karen was one of founding members and key organizers of the Independent Practice Association (IPA) for all primary care physicians in the service area.

Karen grew up in Statesboro and is excited to be able to serve the needs of our neighbors at home. She has two children and three grandchildren who all live in Statesboro. Karen has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the region as well as the needs of our community. She is looking forward to being able to provide exceptional care to those in need.

Both the facilities and In-Home care companies will continue to work together with the shared goal of providing optimal senior care solutions for the communities in which they serve, and maintain both a shared vision and partnership.
