G8 Stop temporarily closed after car drove into the business

On Monday, May 2, 2022 at 10:23 pm, Bulloch County 911, dispatched Statesboro Police Department and Bulloch County EMS to investigate reports that a car drove into the business on South Main.

Extensive damage in business

When officers arrived on the scene at the G8 Stop, 240 South Main (former Gate station) at the corner of East Jones and South Main Street, they confirmed a car drove into the business.

The female driver of the car accidentally drove into the building after getting gas. She was was not injured.

There were two men in the store, when the car came in the business, that were transported by Bulloch County EMS to East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Both men were transported with non-life threatening injuries.

The business was significantly damaged and is closed temporarily, until they can make repairs and re-open.

Statesboro Police Department is in charge of the accident investigation.
