East Georgia State College (EGSC) recently received a challenge gift to help raise funds for the EGSC Foundation. The anonymous donor has pledged to match gifts given to the EGSC Foundation until June 30, 2022, up to a total of $25,000. This challenge doubles your gift by having the anonymous donor match your donation. This doubles the impact your gift has on the college and the students of the institution.

The EGSC Foundation has helped make the future a bright one for hundreds of academically talented students. Through donations and gifts, the Foundation supports many efforts that enhance the quality of programs at the college. Scholarships for students, new academic initiatives, technology, endowments, faculty and staff development, athletic programs, and capital projects have all been funded by the EGSC Foundation.

“I could not be more excited about this gift, as it shows that many people believe in East Georgia State College and want us to be successful. They believe in who we are and what we are doing to transform lives and our communities each and every day,” said EGSC President Dr. David Schecter.

To participate in the challenge gift campaign, text “challenge2022” to 41444 or mail checks to the President’s Office at East Georgia State College at 131 College Circle in Swainsboro, Georgia, 30401. Please mark your check as “Challenge 2022.” Donations can be made to specific areas or programs at EGSC or for general support of student success. Donors can request their donation be matched for areas like recruitment, athletics, business programs or pre-business students, the ACE tutoring center, bringing back the Vision Series, and the like. The anonymous donor is interested in supporting all these areas, as well as more

general support for student scholarships, enrollment efforts, and supporting other student success and faculty support initiatives.

“We are a campus on the move and appreciate donor support now more than ever,” stated Dr. Schecter. “Many, many students and programs will benefit from these gracious gifts. It’s never been a better time to be a Bobcat!”
