Sentry Savannah 2022 is the Air National Guard's largest air-to-air, joint aerial combat exercise hosted by the Georgia Air National Guard. It is the Air National Guard’s premier counter air exercise for 4th and 5th generation fighters that showcases the nation's combat aircraft readiness.

Sentry Savannah is held annually at the Air Dominance Center in Savannah which is one of four Combat Readiness Training Centers in the United States. Fighter Units from across the country come to Savannah to train together on integrated tactics such as ground training, offensive/defensive counter air missions, cruise missile defense and weapon drop training on the range.

They will begin ramping up for their two week Sentry Savannah exercise this week. There will be an increase in jet traffic noise through May 15 during the Sentry Savannah 2022 in and around Savannah, Georgia. Get ready and have your EYES ON THE SKY to catch a glimpse of some the Air Force’s best 4th & 5th generation fighters here training.

Most of the training takes place off the east coast. It is unlikely it will affect Bulloch county. The only noise citizens hear may be on arrival and departure of the aircraft this week of the week of May 16-18.
