Severe Weather Possible in Bulloch this Afternoon/Tonight

"The National Weather Service is placing Bulloch County under a slight risk for some severe weather Wednesday (March 9, 2022) afternoon and into tonight.

"The National Weather Service is placing Bulloch County under a slight risk for some severe weather Wednesday (March 9, 2022) afternoon and into tonight.  Wind gusts could exceed 60 mph with locally heavy downpours," said Ted Wynn, Director, Bulloch County Public Safety/EMA/HS.   "Please monitor the weather.  Much colder weather with lows in the 20s is possible this weekend so plan accordingly.  Be Safe."

Severe Thunderstorms: A few strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia this afternoon. The primary threat will be damaging wind gusts, though large hail and an isolated tornado will also be possible. The primary time period for severe weather will be from 2 to 7 pm.

Thursday through Tuesday:

Frost/Freeze: Freezing temperatures are expected across most of the area Saturday night. Freeze watches and warnings may be needed. Frost and/or freeze conditions are also possible Sunday night, though temperatures will not be as cold as Saturday night.
