For over 30 years Willie Haynes has partnered with local agencies and coordinated the annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. Mr. Haynes and local philanthropists, businesses and volunteers have made sure children in Bulloch and surrounding communities have toys under their tree on Christmas morning.

Toys for Tots

A few years ago Mr. Haynes and the Marines partnered with the Statesboro Jaycees who have done an extraordinary job in helping coordinate the local efforts.

On Saturday, December 18, 2021 the Marines and Jaycees coordinated a toy distribution at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds.

The volunteers collected toys and sorted them for each child. Families who had applied for the toy assistance drove through the parking lot of the fairgrounds and volunteers loaded their cars with toys. Thanks to the generosity of our community they distribtued toys to 180 children reaching 73 families.
