Statesboro Fire Department and Bulloch County EMS responded to Bulloch County Courthouse on Friday, September 10 around 1:00 PM.
Several occupants in the Bulloch County Courthouse on multiple floors reported becoming dizzy and nauseated in the building this morning.
As a precaution, the fire department evacuated the building and called in their Hazmat unit.
The Hazmat unit did a room by room monitoring of the air for any hazards in the building.
They did not find any issues with the air quality in the building that may have caused the illness.
They were unable to determine the cause or origin of anything that may have caused the illnesses in the building.
EMS evaluated several people at the Courthouse. No one was transported to the hospital.
Streets around the Courthouse were closed for a little over an hour, while SFD Hazmat cleared the building.
The building is being ventilated for the remainder of the day and occupants will return on Monday.
