An average of 13 cases per day were reported in Bulloch County, a 810 percent increase from the average two weeks ago.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, at least 1 in 11 Bulloch residents have been infected, a total of 7,025 reported cases

Right now, Bulloch County is at a very high risk for unvaccinated people.

The test positivity rate in Bulloch County is high, suggesting that cases may be undercounted.

A relatively high percentage (18.6%) of COVID tests were positive, which indicates that testing in Bulloch County is limited and that most cases may go undetected.

Statesboro urgent care sites are reporting very high demand for COVID testing. They saw this change in demand begin on Thursday, July 15.

We are currently experiencing a second pandemic of the unvaccinated.

Everyone 12 years and older is eligible to be vaccinated.

Bulloch providers reporting large increase in Vaccinations

In the past week, 279 Bulloch County residents received their first vaccine and 189 more received their second vaccine, becoming fully vaccinated.

Over the weekend a back to school party hosted by the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce Health Services Committee reported over 40 were vaccinated. In the past month, pop up vaccination clinics have struggled to get 3 to 5 people vaccinated.

Local pharmacies and other providers of the COVID-19 vaccine are seeing a lot more interest in vaccines over the past few weeks.
