Tormenta FC hosts Community Heroes Night during their North Carolina match this weekend. Tormenta FC will salute local public safety heroes including the Statesboro Fire Department and the Statesboro Police Department. They are also donating a a portion of ticket sales to a charity chosen by each department.

Each department was given the opportunity to select a local charity to present a portion of ticket sales to for Community Heroes Night this Saturday, July 3, at 8 p.m. General admission tickets are $15 and VIP tickets with special seating and free food and drink are $30.

Statesboro Fire Department Selects Fostering Bulloch

A percentage of sales sold through the Statesboro Fire Department will go to Fostering Bulloch. Fostering Bulloch works locally to support foster parents, foster children and Division of Family and Children Services caseworkers through various service projects carried out entirely by community volunteers. 

Fostering Bulloch’s latest project is building bunkhouses, meeting and kitchen facilities at 7th Mile Farm which will serve as a campground over the summer for foster children and displaced youth.

Statesboro Police Department selects The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire

A percentage of sales bought through the Statesboro Police Department supports The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire which helps out spouses and children of local first responders who lose their lives in the line of duty while protecting their communities.

“We provided a fully paid college education to the surviving spouse and children, including tuition, room & board, textbooks, and a computer,” wrote the 200 Club on their website. “Financial assistance is given for Thanksgiving and Christmas.”

Community Heroes Night is a way to come out and have a great night while supporting Tormenta FC, Statesboro Fire Department, Fostering Bulloch, Statesboro Police Department and The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire. The Tormenta FC game is Saturday, July 3, at 8 p.m.
