Bulloch County citizens traveling Westside road have noticed two electronic signs announcing a road closure beginning on Monday, May 24 lasting for three days until Wednesday evening, May 26. Pending any issues or delays.
According to Dink Butler, Bulloch County Public Works Director, they are having to close the road temporarily to replace a pipe underneath the road. The pipe is located near 7059 Westside road which is about five miles west of the Veterans Memorial Parkway.
Butler said that local traffic will be able to travel to their homes on the road, but through traffic will be detoured from Banks Dairy road to Willow Hill road. The pipe repair is four miles from Banks Dairy road almost at Willow Hill road.
For residents living east of 7059 Westside Road, not much will change. However for residents west of that location, will see their community increased greatly, due to the detour.
