A longtime Statesboro favorite, Party Impressions, reopened its doors on Monday, April 5. The former location on 301 South, owned by Becky Hoover, was tragically lost to fire in 2018.

Now, Amanda Dyches, an employee of the original store, and Kerri Knight, a frequent customer, have brought the store back to the community in a new location on Northside Drive East near Statesboro High.

Their first week of business was decidedly a success.

“From the time we opened the doors on Monday to when we closed on Saturday, it just went so much better than we expected,” Knight said. “We are very thankful that our first week went the way it did. Everybody who walked through the doors told us how much they missed the store.”

“I could not believe how God has blessed us this first week. It surpassed all our expectations,” Dyches added. “It was very cool to see and recognize so many customers and even delivery guys – just to see it come full circle from working there to now owning it.”

The new store will carry many of the same products that were available at the original location, but Dyches notes that party themes have come a long way in the last several years. The looks have been updated and modernized with more available accessories.

Supplies range from baby showers and gender reveals all the way through adult milestone birthdays, as well as a wide range of seasonal items and more generic supplies themed by color. They also offer cake decorating supplies and balloons, including bouquets and arches. They plan to start creating custom invitations and banners in the near future, and they will have Halloween costumes and accessories later this year.

The store is well-stocked for upcoming spring and summer events, including Cinco de Mayo, weddings, baby showers, and graduation. Graduation supplies are already out on the floor, and they hope to offer custom yard signs for the occasion as well.

“I love that we were able to open this year,” Dyches said. “People weren’t able to celebrate graduations last year like they wanted to.”

The women are excited to be back in the party business and plan to hold a Grand Opening celebration within the next few weeks, as they continue to stock the store. The event will feature activities for kids, giveaways, and more.

“We are so thankful for Ms. Becky [Hoover]’s reputation and that we can carry that on for her,” Knight said.
Party Impressions is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 7pm and on Saturday from 9am to 4pm. Keep an eye on the store’s social media channels for updates on the Grand Opening and other store events.
