According to The Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), fully vaccinated individuals can resume pre-pandemic activities without wearing face masks or social distancing. The CDC recommends still getting tested for COVID if you are experiencing any symptoms like new loss of taste & smell, shortness of breath and/or severe coughing. For more guidance and recommendations visit the CDC website HERE. Continue to follow CDC guidelines & stay safe!

DPH is providing FREE Coronavirus testing in Downtown Statesboro in the parking lot located on the East side of Railroad Street between Hill Street and Courtland Street in white drive thru tents.

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • Last Saturday of the month from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Local doctors’ offices and urgent cares can provide PCR COVID testing and some have rapid testing capability. However, only a few are providing the rapid test to the general public and the price for testing varies based on insurance from $85 to $175 for rapid testing locally.

A special thanks to Dr. Frank Davis, M.D. F.A.C.S, a retired trauma surgeon who lives in Bulloch County. He has worked closely with the Grice Connect team to design the COVID-19 dashboard and provide brief interpretation of the data. You will be seeing and hearing more from Dr. Davis as he continues to help us monitor the COVID-19 impact locally.
