Whitesville Home a Total Loss from Early Morning Fire

Bulloch 911 dispatched Statesboro Fire to a structure fire on Joyce street in the Whitesville area of the City Wednesday, April 7 around 8:15 AM. On arrival, firefighters found a mobile home fully involved.

Bulloch 911 dispatched Statesboro Fire to a structure fire on Joyce street in the Whitesville area of the City Wednesday, April 7 around 8:15 AM. On arrival, firefighters found a mobile home fully involved. The home owners were able to escape the fire unharmed.

The home was a total loss. Bulloch VOAD, CAFE and American Red Cross responded to the Whitesville scene and have assisted the couple with temporary living accommodations in a local hotel and alerted local agencies who can assist them.

The origin of the fire is unknown at this time. Statesboro Fire will conduct a routine cause and effect investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

This week has been busy for the Statesboro and Bulloch Fire Departments being the third structure fire in the city.

Bulloch County Fire Departments, Bulloch EMS and Statesboro Police Department all responded to the scene to assist.

Bulloch County Fire responded barn fire on Railroad Bed Road in the Brooklet area today which ended up being contained to one vehicle.
