GSP Working a Pedestrian Fatality on I-16 at MM 134

Bulloch County 911 received a call at approximately 8:50 PM, Wednesday, March 17 of a pedestrian walking down the middle of I-16 in camouflage clothing at mile marker 134 on eastbound I-16.

Bulloch County 911 received a call at approximately 8:50 PM, Wednesday, March 17 of a pedestrian walking down the middle of I-16 in camouflage clothing at mile marker 134 on eastbound I-16. Moments later, they received a call that the pedestrian had been struck by a car.

When officers arrived on the scene they determined the pedestrian had been fatally injured. Georgia State Patrol, Bulloch County Sheriff's deputies and Bulloch County EMS are on the scene now.

Bulloch County Coroner Jake Futch is in route to the scene now. It is unknown if the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian is injured.

Use caution in this area of I-16 eastbound between Exit 137 Ash Branch Church Road and Exit 132 GA-119. There is a heavy police presence working this active accident.
