One Boro Commission to host violence prevention public forum

The City of Statesboro’s One Boro Commission will host a public violence prevention forum titled Securing Statesboro: Keeping Our City Safe on Saturday, March 6, 2021. The forum will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The City of Statesboro’s One Boro Commission will host a public violence prevention forum titled Securing Statesboro: Keeping Our City Safe on Saturday, March 6, 2021. The forum will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Georgia Southern University’s Military Science Building located at 4526 Old Register Road, Statesboro, Georgia.

The forum will provide an opportunity for citizens to review and discuss data from law enforcement agencies and organizations which provide support to victims of violence. Presentations will be given by the Statesboro Police Department, Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Southern Police Department, Safe Haven and The Teal House. After the presentations, a facilitator will engage attendees in an interactive conversation.

This forum is the first of many One Boro plans to hold to promote diversity, inclusion and equity among citizens of Statesboro. For more information about the event, visit www.statesboroga.gov/oneboro.
