The public is invited to the swearing in ceremony for Georgia District 4 Senator-Elect Billy Hickman.

The ceremony will be held Friday, August 21st at 11:30 a.m. on the lawn of the Bulloch County Annex, 113 N. Main St., Statesboro.

Justice Michael Boggs of the Supreme Court of Georgia will conduct the ceremony and a reception will follow across the street at First Baptist Church.

Senator-Elect Hickman will succeed the late Senator Jack Hill.

Hickman was elected to fill the unexpired term and a full two-year term. This is the reason he is being sworn in now, instead of when the session begins in January 2021.
