Across the country we are seeing citizens surround local hospitals and fill their parking lots with cars flashing their lights, praying and showing support for the hospital and healthcare workers.  Because of the Governor’s shelter in place order that will take effect on Friday, local citizens are looking for a larger and safer way to show their support.  Of course the best way to help them is to stay healthy and shelter in place.

Ashley McGahee, reached out with an idea that we love.  She is suggesting that we all stop what we are doing tonight and pray for our healthcare workers and our community and take a picture or video of what we are doing to support them.  Then at 7 PM tonight, her goal is to fill social media feeds with positive words, pictures and images of encouragement for our healthcare workers.  Please tag #UnityStatesboroStyle

Being a small community, we all personally know a doctor, nurse, paramedic, pharmacist, staff member, etc. serving us through this COVID-19 crisis.  They are quickly becoming some of the bravest and most incredible heroes in our community.

This is a small gesture of support to encourage them and let them know how much we appreciate and understand the sacrifices they are making for each of us.

Even the smallest show of support can mean the world to these incredible heroes.

Other ways you can show your support is to thank them with signs of support in the windows of your home or businesses.

Boro Take Out Express is working with Bulloch VOAD and local restaurants and businesses to encourage the community to purchase gift cards that will be distributed to them.  With gift cards starting at only $10, this is a quick and easy way you can help them from your home.  Each week gift cards will be distributed to these heroes.

Please help us spread the word and we look forward to your post tonight on social media.
