Video Previews New Business Construction in Statesboro – Bulloch
When dirt starts moving people want to know what is coming to town. Daily we get questions regarding new construction or land development. Every month we put together a new video sharing projects we know about being developed in the Boro.
Development Plans Not Finalized
There are a few projects that are still speculative like the dirt moving at the old lumber company on the bypass beside J.C. Lewis Ford that we have not included in the video because at this point the developer has not settled on or announced what their plans for the land.
The fence around the parking lot beside Payless on Northside Drive includes land that recently sold and will be developed. The owners of the property are working thorugh some final details and have not make their plans public.
The road widening, deceleration and turn lanes on Highway 301 South just past I-16 is a continuation of the development of Bulloch County’s newest industrial park, Gateway Industrial. No industry has announced that they have selected this site. The work is just another phase of the development for the new industrial site. The site is being heavily marketed and hopefully these improvements will make it more attractive to a potential industry looking to locate here.
The widening of Highway 80 East between Statesboro and Brooklet is moving along. This will not be a complete widening to four lanes but instead the addition of passing and turn lanes.
Construction has finally began on the four lane widening of Highway 67 from Statesboro to I-16.
