Bulloch Academy football fans got a bit of a scare tonight during homecoming festivities when the stadium lost power around 9pm Friday night. The complete blackout of the stadium lasted only about 10 minutes.

This stadium outage was part of a wide spread one that effected 5,183 customers in five counties according to the EMC outage map.

1,983 Bulloch County customers and 2,893 in Candler County were impacted.

“An outage on the transmission line caused a momentary outage in which our transmission provider, Georgia Transmission,

switched the line and restored our consumers”, said Howard Porter, EMC Manager of Member Services.

“We recognize the interruption for our members and truly strive to get it back as quickly as possible.

Porter verified that all power has been restored.
