According to Bulloch County Public Safety Director Ted Wynn, there are currently more than 50 roads with issues. If you need to report a road issue, please call the county Public Works directly at 912-764-6369. Please do not call 911 unless an emergency exists.

Stephanie Abrams with the Weather Channel is broadcasting from live from downtown Statesboro. They are set up across from the Bulloch County Courthouse in front of Synovus Bank.

5:31PM: FLASH FLOOD WARNING
FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR BULLOCH, CANDLER, EFFINGHAM, JENKINS, SCREVEN, ALLENDALE, HAMPTON AND JASPER COUNTIES... At 528 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated extremely heavy rainfall associated with Hurricane Idalia. As much as 4 to 6 inches of rain has fallen so far today. The risk for flash flooding will continue to increase as the center of Idalia moves across Southeast Georgia. Spotters and HAM radio operators recently submittted photos showing water about to enter homes along Northlake Drive and Westlake Drive in Statesboro. Flash flooding is likely across much of the warned area.
2:19PM UPDATE: TORNADO WARNING
At 2:19 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Brooklet, moving northwest at 20 mph. Warning in effect until 2:45 PM.
10:50 Update: Georgia Power has crews working to restore power outages impacting 549 customers on the West side of Statesboro.
