Toby Davis, Honorary Inductee

Toby became involved with SEB in early 2003, when he was asked to head up the fundraiser for the cross-country team. The fundraiser was the Brooklet 5k Peanut Run. He took over as race director, being a runner himself who had already run in numerous 5k races and had some knowledge of such events.

The principal at the time was John Frazier, who had previously been the cross-country coach. He contacted him and asked him if he was going to be involved with the team’s fundraising, he would like him to come on board as a lay coach. Toby quickly enrolled in the lay coaches’ class and began coaching that year.

Since then, he has continued to be directly involved in the Peanut Run, and this year will be the 25th year of the event, also sharing the event to help the tennis team and the track team. Over the last 23 years, Toby has continued his involvement with the track teams and cross-country teams at both SEB High and Middle Schools.

Toby assists with track and cross country meets when asked, and he still coaches consistently, mainly with the middle school. While coaching, he obtained his CDL Bus license and has been involved as an activity driver carrying various SEB sports teams to their matches, games, and races.
