Willie Mae Oneal, age 78 made her transition to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 18, 2022 at the Heritage Inn Health and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. She was a native of Telfair County, attended the public Schools of Telfair County, McCrae, Georgia and spent many years in New Jersey before relocating to Statesboro. She attended Firm Foundation Baptist Church, Statesboro, Georgia prior to her illness.
She is survived by two daughters, Josette Oneal and Jennifer Oneal-Reed (Register Lee) and a step-daughter Evangeline Bosen (Fayro) all of Greenville, NC; a son, Michael Oneal, Statesboro; siblings, Christine Jordon, Tennessee, Andrew Jordon, Miami, FL, Lewis Jordon, Douglas, GA, Rose Mincey Clark, Columbus, OH, Goffery McDuffie (Martha), Columbus, GA and Robert Durr (Helen), Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of life for Mrs. Oneal will be held on Saturday,, October 29, 2022 in the Chapel of James R. Barnes Mortuary with Reverend Sarah Scott-Prince, officiating. Interment will be in the Wesley Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, 1700 West River Road, Rhine, GA 31077.
A walk through viewing will take place on Friday, evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
