Deacon Daniel McCullough Sr.

Deacon Daniel McCullough, Sr., age 70, passed into rest, Tuesday March 28, 2023, at the Optim Medical Center, Sylvania Georgia.

The Bulloch County native was the son of the late Frank and Catherine Mincey McCullough. He received his formal education in the Bulloch County School System and attended William James High School.

Deacon McCullough worked hard in life and was a former farmer. He also worked at Louisiana Pacific, Georgia Pacific and lastly, as a custodian at Statesboro High School for the Bulloch County Board of Education.

Deacon Daniel McCullough, Sr. served faithfully as a deacon at the Stevens Temple Church of God in Christ (HUTL). He began his walk with Christ under the leadership of the late Elder Paul Stevens, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife, Gertrude Lovett McCullough, a brother, Donnie Lee McCullough and a sister, Frankie McCullough.

He leaves to cherish his memoires, five sons, Frank Daniel (Lucretia) McCullough and Myron McCullough, both of St. Cloud, FL; Welton McCullough, Vidalia, GA, Gavin (Jennifer) McCullough, Metter, GA and Recardo McCullough, Statesboro, GA; three daughters, Tiffany (Corey) Hayton, Ciana McCullough and Ashley McCullough all of Statesboro, GA; two brothers, Samuel (Grace) McCullough and James McCullough; a sister, Josie Williams, one aunt Mary McCullough, 21 grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing for Deacon McCullough will be held Friday, April 7, 2023, from 4 pm to 8 pm. Family visitation will be held from, 7 pm to 8 pm in the chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.

The funeral service for Deacon Daniel McCullough, will be held, 11 am, Saturday April 8, 2023, at the Stevens Temple Church of God in Christ (HUTL). Bishop Moses Lewis, pastor, Apostle Clayton A. Cowart, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery.

Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
