Widespread wireless outages reported on February 22

According to DownDetector.com and multiple news outlets, users of AT&T wireless networks may be experiencing cell phone service outages on February 22, 2024. As of 9:45am, DownDetector was showing nearly 70,000 reports of issues from AT&T users alone.

While this is primarily an AT&T issue, users of other carriers who rely on AT&T networks may also be experiencing issues. This includes TMobile, Cricket, Verizon, and others.

AT&T issued the following statement on Thursday: “Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. We are working urgently to restore service to them. We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored."

They did not provide an estimate for when service would be fully restored.
